10th May - 5th June 2022
Flying Colours Productions Presents
Harold Pinter's THE DWARFS
Three old school friends, Mark, Pete and Len, knock about the streets, pubs and cafes of East London arguing the toss about art, life and love. The fourth member of their tight-knit group is Virginia, a young teacher. As autumn draws in, each of the friends finds their perception of one another and themselves irrevocably changed.
THE DWARFS is adapted from Harold Pinter’s only novel. Semi-autobiographical, it is a fascinating, disturbing and humorous study which contains the seeds of all his subsequent work.
The show will run at The White Bear Theatre from the 10th of May till the 5th of June, with previews being held on the 10th and 11th of May.
“This was a brave, bold attempt to capture the essence of the Kerry Lee Crabbe script. It made me want to go back to Harold’s novel. Which is always a good sign.
— Michael Billington | ex-Guardian Theatre Critic and Harold Pinter's Biographer
“So enjoyed The Dwarfs tonight. How mesmerising Harold’s words are. The talented, watchable cast were all equally good and personable. Fascinating to see this play in the light of Harold’s later work.
— Valerie Grove | Former Feature Writer, Interviewer and Columnist for The Times
